Quarter grey cloth with grey paper over boards. Black title on spine misleading (the Nerves of the Face – Bell 1834). New end papers. Book plate of James Tait Goodrich loose inside. Mild toning and foxing. Mostly bright. Clean. Binding tight. Margins mostly well retained, though fore edge trimmed in a bit close to text at some points.
