Vol 1 was published by John W. Parter and Son, while Vol’s 2 and 3 were published by Parker, Son, and Bourn, and Vol 4 was published by Longman, Green, Longman, Roberts, and Green.
Four volumes uniformly bound in later plain red cloth with gold text on spines. Scattered mild scratches on boards. New end papers. A bit of toning at front and rear of volumes. Otherwise, bright. Rare small marginal and gutter smudges or stains. Rare marginalia. Otherwise, quite clean. Bindings tight. Illustrated with black and white figures.
